FIRST SCOTTISH GROUP UPDATE JANUARY 2022 from Ian Fraser Managing Director.

A happy new year to all our clients and I hope everyone enjoyed their break over the festive period. During 2021 our searching staff continued to work from home, and due to the current covid situation this will be our position for the present time.

Our staff in the office and out at clients premises will continue to follow Government Coronavirus (COVID19) guidelines to ensure that everyone stays safe.

All document storage and scanning services started up again during May 2021.

Before I talk about the housing market for the past year may I take this opportunity to thank all our clients for their support during 2021.

House sales in Scotland for 2021 are currently standing at 107,064, this does not include December’s figures as they are not available yet. We have to go as far back as 2007 (151,855 sales) to see a better result.

I predict residential sales for 2021 will be around 33,500 more than 2020, this will mean a total of 119,000 sales approx. for the past year.

Residential sales form the core of our search business, and as a result of last years figures FSSS enjoyed a record year both in turnover and profit.

This could not have been achieved without the fantastic support from our clients, and also the effort, skill and dedication of our staff.

FSSS continue to deliver a high standard of service, and I firmly believe quality and good service remain vital to our client needs.

We will strive to maintain these high standards for 2022, and continue to invest in staff, technology and new products.

I am so proud of our business, and we will maintain our position as the largest searching company in Scotland for 2022.

The covid situation is still serious and we must continue to take care in the workplace, home and outside. Hopefully this year we will see things improving.

Can I finish by wishing all our clients a very prosperous 2022, both in your family and business lives.

Ian Fraser
